Start with the failure type
“Google Flow not working” can describe several unrelated problems. Record the exact step:
The Flow page does not open.
The account is not eligible.
Credits are missing or exhausted.
Generate is disabled.
One model or feature is unavailable.
An upload fails.
A generation is rejected or remains stuck.
An edit, upscale, download or scene export fails.
That distinction prevents unnecessary browser resets when the real cause is a plan, region or model limitation.
60-second diagnostic
Confirm access
Check the official country page and confirm the correct Google account, age and plan.Check credits
Open the profile menu and confirm the remaining balance and next refresh date.Reduce the request
Try a short text-only prompt with one supported model and one output.Remove variables
Temporarily remove uploaded media, ingredients, voices and advanced edits.Retry the environment
Reload the product, test a private window and disable extensions that alter requests or page content.
If credits are not working
Check whether the selected model costs more than the available balance and whether one request creates multiple generations. Free and subscription credits refresh differently. An upgrade also replaces remaining free credits with the new monthly allocation.
If one model or feature is missing
Open the current model matrix and availability page. Model support differs for:
10-second generation.
First and last frames.
Ingredients and advanced references.
Uploaded-video editing.
Extend.
1080p and 4K upscaling.
A missing control can be an unsupported combination rather than a product outage.
If an upload or edit fails
Google’s current edit instructions list supported uploaded-video formats and limits. For Omni Flash edits, the selected edit segment can be up to 10 seconds; larger source videos may need trimming. Country restrictions also apply.
If you see unusual-activity or repeated-request warnings
Do not try to bypass the warning with automation. Pause repeated requests, remove browser automation or request-modifying extensions, confirm account security and retry later from a normal connection. FlowTool cannot determine whether an account-level restriction is temporary or security-related.
Report a reproducible problem
When the minimal request still fails:
Save the exact error text.
Record date, time, country, device and browser.
Record account plan, selected model and credit balance.
Note whether the same request works with another model.
Use Flow’s official problem-reporting route.
Do not post private prompts, account identifiers or billing information in a public forum.

Frequently asked questions
Is Google Flow down?
A failed request does not prove a global outage. Test a minimal supported prompt, check credits and availability, and compare another model before reporting a product-wide problem.
Why is Google Flow Generate disabled?
Common causes include insufficient credits, an unsupported model-feature combination, account restrictions or incomplete required inputs.
What should I include in a Google Flow problem report?
Include the exact error, timestamp, country, device, browser, plan, selected model, credit balance and a minimal reproduction without private data.
